Hi,
I should start by saying that Mr. Ofner, or "Bob" as we called him, taught me how to drive.  In fact he taught me how to drive very well:  I occasionally hear little scoffs when I cover the horn, or tap it lightly to get the attention of a driver inching out to merge, but that maneuver (Bob's maneuver) has on more then one occasion literally saved my life -- and the lives of those skeptical passengers.

I wanted to thank Bob for that.  Stories like that are pretty common among my friends.  In fact we used to have a laugh when one kid would ask another, "who's taking you out on your driving lessons?", because the answer would always come back "Bob."  He must have taught my whole generation of New Jerseyites how to drive.  And who could forget the strategically placed stickers on his car, the stickers that made sure every last one of them learned how to parallel park?

Dear Bob,

Thank you so much for driving lessons. I wouldn't have passed without you.

Thanks so much. I would have had a very rough time learning to drive if you were not there to help me. You have helped me further to take a step in the right direction and helped me achieve more freedom.
